Birchrunville July 4, 2005 Parade
The weather for the parade was absolutely perfect this year. We went with the same configuration as last year, with Capt. Bill piloting his red pickup and our friend Chuck at the wheel of T-Bone's '59 Cadillac convertible. As always, it was a blast and the crowd was great.
This year, there's movies!!
The Birchrunville community went high tech this year and put movies of the parade on there web site. Check out there website at:
You can catch a glimpse of the band at the end of Chapters 4 and 7. Just imagine that the crowd you see extended for nearly a mile in each direction along the little country road through Birchrunville. Not bad for a parade that nobody organizes!

The Rooster and the Delaware Destroyer rode in the back of Captain Bill's pick-up. (Perhaps Rooster should reconsider the doo rag next year - not exactly the look for him)
|
Here comes Pops and the Professor in the Cadillac. Man, there is so much chrome it overpowers the camera. Looks like T-Bone was forced to walk along side - he's still working on his waving technique.

Here's our good friend Pauline giving some love to Pops (hey, even old guys need love!). And thanks to Pauline's daughter for the pictures this year.
|
Looks like T-Bone was feeling left out and needed some lovin' too. That's Mrs. T-Bone tossing beads there on the right. Pauline made sure she wasn't looking before throwing her arms around T-Bone.

As always, Elvis rode with us, standing tall and proud!
|
Man, some of the more exotic floats would rival the Rose Bowl Parade.

|
T-Bone rests his feet and catches a ride on the tailgate of Captain Bill's pickup.
|
Rooster mingles with the common people.
(...and seriously, rethink the doo rag)
